How do you know what your face shape is and your skin tone when choosing a makeup/blush color?

look into the mirror . get a non permanent marker. draw the outline of your face on the mirror. thats to determine your face shape. or you could very well ask someone you know you can trust. and to determine your skin tone, pinch your flesh. a spot which isn't exposed to the sun much. and after pinching, you'll notice a change in color. and that color is usually the color that'll help you choose makeup or blush. say its a pinkish tone, its suggested you invest in a pinkish colored blushHow do you know what your face shape is and your skin tone when choosing a makeup/blush color?
well there are four main different head shapes:

square

heart

oval

or round

then there are about for main skin tones:

pink- if you have fair skin(definetly if your a redhead)color of Sienna Millers skin

beige- the color of Rachel Bilsons skin

sultry- color of Lucy Liu's skin ( definetly if your of asian culture)

deep- such as Jennifer Hudsons skin(definetly if your of african culture)

Your head shape doesn't really have to do with your make-up just your hair style and cut. But here are some make-up tips for a natural look.

fair skin- use a taupe(browny-pink) shimmery eyeshadow

use a pink powder blush

and a pink cotton candy color gloss

a light brown liner

beige- use a white shimmery eyeshadow

use a tawny(light brown) color powder blush

a creamy neutral lipstick

use brown eyeliner, the outer part of your eyes

sultry- use a purple pink eyeshadow

use a reddish pink powder blush

a rose colored gloss

purple colored eyeliner apply same as beige

deep- use a silver eyeshadow

dust raisin ( pinky brown purplish)

black mascara%26amp;liner

a mocha colored gloss

you'll look angelic and fresh

P.S if you need to cover up marks or blemishes here is what to do:

use a mouse foundation for your skin tone(cover things up and to smooth skin tone)

then a loose iridescent sunscreen foundation powder( to get a sun kissed look and some spf)

then to finish off a sheer lighter foundation (blend it all together and finish it off)

I just use super natural colors and my mom thinks I look good, she will get like mad if I put on too much of something. Use colors that are in the same family of your skin tone. Above is really a party look or to look special for an occasion. How do you know what your face shape is and your skin tone when choosing a makeup/blush color?
